In one of the most rarest achievement in the auto mobile history the students of NIT Agartala made -what they euphemistically call- the world’s chepaest car.A group of students working on the innovative production using only scraps built a 2 stroke petrol car.This is for the first time chain sproket system and a steering were used in car mechanism, an NIT-Agartala student involved in the project with a big smile.
“We had also gone for a drive with the car”, he said and added that the car is presently moving only its chasis with some chairs attached. “We shall soon turn it a full body wholesome car”.It is ‘world’s cheapest car. It cost less tha Rs 8500″, said the student.”In a sense we the NIT-Agartala students ‘challenged’ the mighty Tata and their Nano, he added with a smile again
